This is a fantastic ride and I wish I included it in the first edition of Arkansas Valley Mountain Biking. The terrain in this part of the Fourmile Recreation Area has long, fast, steep sections of jeep and ATV track. Ride it to find berms prime for fat tire carving and "whoop-dee-doo" jumps just right for getting your share of air time. It's not single-track, but you'll have so much fun riding it that you won't care.
The ride starts with an easy but steady climb on dirt roads and manageable jeep-tracks. A few descents en route break the work and give you a taste of the fun awaiting you on the main downhill. The fun really begins when you reach the second intersection with FSR 373 where the downhills are steep and fast. Just before you reach the Davis Face, you get terrific views of a natural arch, a unique geologic feature of the area.
This is a popular area for jeeps and ATVs, so stay alert for motorized traffic as you bomb the downhills.
