This easy outing takes you from historic downtown Salida to the top of Tenderfoot Mountain. Sometimes called "S" Mountain, Tenderfoot is the hill adorned with the giant "S" just north of town. The ride up is easy and suitable for families and riders of all abilities. At the top is a sheltered observation deck with unsurpassed views of the Sawatch Range to the west, the Sangre de Cristo Range to the south, and the bottom half of the Arkansas Valley to the northwest.
