The Arkansas Hills trail system is one of the best mountain biking additions to Salida in recent years. Built and maintained by local riders, this stacked loop system is quickly becoming one of the “must-do” rides in the area. With something for everyone, these trails are typically dry throughout winter and provide an excellent place to get dirty after a day of boarding or skiing at nearby Monarch Mountain. This is also a great early spring/late fall fat tire destination when snow covers high country single-track in Summit and Eagle counties.

Expect this system to get bigger and better over time. Trail crews are out there right now, cutting new tread and extending existing lines. Stop by Absolute
