Gather the family for a ride on the “Pathway through History.” This route, an easy outing through the Upper Bighorn Sheep Canyon, has twelve interpretive signs to give an historical perspective to your journey.
This is an easy ride, so take it at a relaxed pace and read the interpretive signs along the way. Keep a sharp eye out for a chance sighting of Colorado’s official state animal, the bighorn sheep, grazing in the canyon. And, as the first sign suggests, try to let your imagination carry you back to the time when this road was a simple dirt path.
Note- Badger Creek may be impassible when water levels are high and attempting to cross it in winter is hazardous. In addition, some parts of the road may flood during
times of high water. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS ANY FLOWING, FLOODED AREAS OF THE ROAD.
