Imagine riding tight, pristine single-track that skirts the edge of the Buffalo Peaks Wilderness Area. Imagine solitude and tranquility as you effortlessly sail down a trail deep under the cover of pine and aspen. Imagine the Tumble Creek Trail.

The ride out is a little physically demanding, but you'll fly on the return trip. Most of the route is over a bed of loamy pine needles with just enough technical obstacles to keep it interesting without slowing you down. You'll want to ride this one more than once.

The trailhead is a little far from the highway, but there are numerous primitive campsites in the area and a developed Forest Service campground (Weston Pass) is less than two miles west of the trailhead on CR 22.
