The east side of Weston Pass is a little shorter, a little steeper, and just as beautiful (if not more so) than its western sibling. One key difference, however, is that this side provides and alternate descent route that is at once smoother yet more technical than the road leading to the top.

Along the way, you'll pass numerous old structures that provide an historically interesting diversion for you to explore and ponder as you grind to the top.

The trailhead is a little far from the highway, but there are numerous primitive campsites in the area and a developed Forest Service campground (Weston Pass) is less than two miles west of the trailhead on CR 22.
